How long should I spend in the infrared sauna?
+
For beginners, we recommend starting with 15–20 minutes at a moderate temperature and building up to 30–45 minutes over time. Always hydrate before and after your session. Listen to your body — if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, step out and cool down.
Do I need experience to use the cold plunge?
+
No experience needed. We have 6 magnesium ice baths at varying temperatures so you can start with a warmer option and gradually progress to colder baths as your tolerance builds. We recommend starting with 1–2 minutes and working up over multiple sessions. Slow, controlled breathing is the key.
Is there anything I shouldn't do before a session?
+
Avoid eating a heavy meal within 1–2 hours before recovery sessions. Stay well hydrated. If you have any underlying medical conditions — particularly cardiovascular, respiratory, or skin conditions — consult your doctor before using therapies such as the infrared sauna, microbaric sauna or cold plunge.
Are any therapies not suitable for certain people?
+
Some therapies are not recommended during pregnancy or for people with certain medical conditions. Specifically:
- Infrared Sauna — Not recommended during pregnancy or for people with uncontrolled hypertension
- Cold Plunge — Not recommended for people with Raynaud's disease or uncontrolled heart conditions
- Microbaric Sauna — As a heat-based therapy, not recommended during pregnancy or for people with uncontrolled hypertension or cardiovascular conditions. If you have a respiratory condition or take medication affected by heat, please speak to your GP first
If in doubt, please consult your GP before your first session.
What is a microbaric sauna?
+
Our microbaric sauna is an infrared sauna with integrated oxygen therapy, supplied and supported by Revive X. Infrared warms the body directly rather than heating the air around you, while the integrated oxygen system supplies enriched oxygen direct to you through a nasal cannula throughout your session. Each pod is a single-occupant, timber-lined cabin with a built-in recliner.
What does a microbaric sauna session feel like?
+
Sessions are warm, quiet and deeply relaxing. Infrared warms you directly, so the heat feels gentler and more penetrating than a conventional sauna, and the cabin stays comfortable to breathe in. Most people read, listen to music or simply switch off. Sessions generally last 30 to 45 minutes and leave most people feeling calm and restored.
What's the difference between the microbaric sauna and a traditional sauna?
+
A traditional sauna heats the air around you, which then warms your skin. Infrared warms your body directly, so you get a deep, comfortable heat at a lower air temperature — which most people find much easier to sit in for longer. Our microbaric sauna also adds integrated oxygen therapy, supplying enriched oxygen direct to you through a nasal cannula throughout the session, which a standard sauna doesn't offer. We have both on the recovery floor — one large traditional sauna seating eight, alongside eight individual infrared cabins and the microbaric chambers — so you can try each and see which you prefer.
Do I need experience to do reformer pilates?
+
Not at all. Our on-demand pilates library includes classes for all levels — from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Classes are clearly labelled by level and duration so you can always find something appropriate for where you're at.
How often should I come to see results?
+
Most members notice improvements in sleep, energy and recovery within the first 2–3 weeks of regular use. For physical results from pilates, research shows meaningful change within 6–8 weeks of consistent training. We recommend 3–5 visits per week across any combination of therapies for optimal results.
